Not a fan of candy corn? Trade for something different. For those of us who like to skip around, unwilling to dip our hands into our trick or treat bags and just shove candy willy nilly down our open mouths. Maybe just a slump because the majority of the podcast was great.Anthology Horror. The stories weren’t great this season, at the ending you feel like, “that was it?” Or you don’t realize it’s over. Good for her for getting out there but a large portion of the story with this narrator usually gets skipped, because it’s unpleasant to listen to. Unfortunately, a recent female narrator has a heavy impediment that I have to rewind to understand her as she mispronounces words often. Some of the narrators have speech impediments and they are my favorite narrators because it doesn’t affect the story. They added a couple new narrators and not a fan. That’s a hard thing to accomplish, but all the narrators are amazing.ĭisappointed in season 16, they tried some new themed seasons and it was tedious, rather than entertaining. All of the narrators are wonderful, these two stand out for me. I forgot to add I’m obsessed with Nikole Doolin (once again I apologize for the spelling), she has the warmest, creepiest narration ever, she was born to do this. It’s all around a great podcast, will continue to listen. Overall I can tell what their political beliefs are but I don’t feel like it’s injected too much. I just listen with ear buds closely and I can hear it. I think that corrected would be the only thing, no one is perfect and make no mistake I think she is wonderful. It’s strange because I really like her narration, but that is maddening. If I were to offer a constructive critique, that would be it. Almost all the voice actors are amazing and one of my favorites is Jessica Mcvoy (not sure if I’m spelling this right) but she can’t pronounce contractions or double Ts, like writ-ten, and it’s a little weird, like her tongue is pierced or she has tongue tie. Sometimes the story isn’t great, but mainly pretty decent. Please return to your original approach because that was when this show was at its best. The liberal woke agenda is a tiresome song, it has a way of ruining anything it touches. Great staff, talented production, would just really wish all the social justice garbage would stop. I also feel the stories in earlier seasons were far darker.Īnother review stated hitting the end of some tales and going “that’s it?” I can relate to that very much. I do not care how people choose to live, but I feel when you force these elements into stories and make statements regarding these issues it is counter-productive to what people come to here for: entertainment and escape from the world itself. I feel the push for these themes has been so extreme it has taken away from the primary focus: horror. There is an enormous amount of talent in this podcast, however, I feel earlier seasons are far better.Īs time has passed Nosleep has unfortunately fallen into the spotlight of the social justice factors ie pushing for stories to be inclusive of various themes, trans movement, homosexuality, things of that nature. I’ve listened to this from the beginning and am a huge fan of horror stories/podcasts in general. Season 15 ep 2 - I’m sorry but I have to say this: Danielle Mccrae’s narration & pronunciation is very hard to listen to. They’re downright terrible compared to the earlier season’s episodes. Some of them end ridiculously, & some just don’t make sense. They are nowhere near the quality of stories that I’ve come to expect & love from the NoSleep Podcast. Several of the stories that they’ve chosen to perform for se13 are just awful. I’ve read other reviews saying as much, but until I got to this season, I didn’t get it ~ but NOW I do. I had to come back to say that that was one of the most beautiful stories that I have ever heard / read. *******UPDATE #2******* I just finished the season 10 Valentine’s Bonus Episode. *******UPDATE******* TO OTHER CERTAIN REVIEWERS - THIS IS *NOT* THE PLACE FOR YOUR RACISM AND HOMOPHOBIA!!!! IF U DON’T LIKE IT, THEN DON’T LISTEN!! THERE IS *NO* NEED FOR YOU TO LEAVE HATEFUL COMMENTS!! GO. Actually, I’ve pretty much made my mind up to buy them. I just started listening, but it’s pretty good so far! I’m impressed!! And I’m seriously considering buying season passes.
